    I guess IRN could always switch to underground mining, even if it is less efficient. It would have to be more productive than doing nothing until the ban is lifted.

    If IRN are suffering cash burn, they can come to the market to fund, or go through the usual channels via banks, or get a cornerstone investor, etc. A SPP could work- we've had a 35% SP fall- why not just exaggerate that further?

    Whitehaven Coal put themselves on the market about 1 year ago ago, and final bids are due in early April. finally, WHC have got it together. IRN just needs to do the same. I know I'm in an absolute minority of one when I say this, but I'd be happy to get an offer of 80c right now. That's a premium of around 20%, and a loss of around 20% on my original capital, but this takeover is just becoming a pain.
