    Yes electric to liquid hydrogen as a liquid fuel can work but is not very efficient , new technology needed , very expensive, explosive but can be a closed loop but at a cost using excess power for pumped hydro as a battery is seemingly the most efficient using current commercial simple technology but assumes you have the topography,space and water.
