Probably concerns that the nickel price is about to plummet in the next 3 months but be suppressing this (SMY) and other nickell producers - gold and silver stocks are also being affected + the big miners reporting reduced profits via currency issues is causing profit taking across the whole resources sector - sometimes that can explain why SMY isnt fully priced yet and may have allowed you to get in on the cheap.
