Just looking at last year and we may not get any share buyback of CSL until late Feb if last year is any guide.
For the 5 1/2 weeks before last years final results CSL halted the buyback (10/7/08-22/8/08 no buyback, final result 19/8/08). Back then we were guessing they enforced the comnpany blackout period on the buyback.
If they do the same this year for the mid year results, which are due Wed 17 Feb, then the last day for buyback would have been today! So if no buyback announcement appears Tuesday then we may be safe to assume that the buyback is shutdown until Monday 22nd Feb!
