Thought people might like to see an update of my automagic in chart risk calculator. I've managed to get the account risk part working nicely. Here's a couple of examples with different markets, different time frames and different trade sizes.
The parameters are reasonably self explanatory but for those that missed my original post, the idea is to show where stop placement should go based on market volatility (in this case 3x ATR bands) and then show dollar value per contract for risk and also a percentage of account risk based on account size and no. of contracts. If I can see percentage risk in terms of my account I can make a very quick decision on whether a specific trade fits my risk profile.
I still have a couple of boxes to tick. I'm not sure I can convert an account size into different currencies on the fly so I might have to include the daily exchange rates as user inputted variables and I also want to link the account size to my actual account rather than an input variable as well.
I also want to make different version using different risk methods. For example using a Donchian Channel or Bollinger Bands. I'm open to other method idea's to try if anyone has any good idea's.
