A unit is under fire. They are at risk of being overrun The LT calls his gunny op and tells him, "Take some men and secure the right flank. Dont care how ya do it...but secure that flank". The gunny doesnt...the unit is overrun
In the After-Action review...the gunny admits the LT said, "Take some men and secure the right flank" but he interpreted it to be "just banter" and "there was no way" he was going to do it
How do you rekon that court-martial would go go for the gunny?
