QBE is a sound company. It has been thoroughly assessed to be 1 of the 10 best Australian companies by both Huntley and TII. But a good company does not necessarilly mean its half year report will be a solid one.
I had a bad feeling based on the SP performance during the last few days. Let alone the exchange rate is currently above 0.80, while 0.68 is used by QBE six months ago in its report. There is no double it will make a hugh differnece on the book.
I really hope I am wrong. Anyway, one day to go.
