He obviously is a fan of the Labor rhetoric of "Make Australia an Asian Country" scheme and appears from his writings to be anti USA so is undoubtedly a bit biased in his comments
This is not to say that we should ignore China but you don't turn your back on one of our oldest friends and allies without serious results.
Australia has to learn to be a bit more independent to all our neighbors big and small and remember that it is a sovereign nation and has the economic ability to do so if not the brute strength
