yes, they are!!
they just took a hit with the news on the GDP figures, don't know why, the figures are actually quite bullish - economy over there shrank less than expected (has resisted negativity), take note also jobless claims have decreased as well.
One would expect unemployment to stay relatively high for a while since its very much a lagging indicator. that new jobless claims have slowed shows less folks are losing their jobs. I'm wondering what the job ads figures are like over there, may well tell the tale
