i thought i would mak a comment... I stated very clearly that my intention is to pay the loans...my issue is the way my current debt is arranged...on the credit card side $4500 a month paymnet is about $2k principal...
if i elected to sell my house I could clear all my debts..
My average interest rate on the credit cards is just under 4%..so cheaper than a house loan...
My original comment on the referred thread was because omeone said they were finding it tough...so i responded, and stating that i hope to show others there is a way of keep going forward, and that we have the obligation to repay people we owe money to as we have the goods/services that the money provided.People came forward with advice which I feel helped many...It was never for sympathy etc..
re the holiday...my kids will remember the holidays we spent as a family, not that I paid my credit cards of 2 months earlier ! and i was not thinking of doing a holiday and not pay my other loans !
Just putting things in context and am sorry mrs muffettbuffet you were staggard at my thinking...you are probably staggard to know i also help out another family who have hit hard times at $100 a week (even when I have my debts) as I still see myself as better off than them...We all make different decisions for different reasons..
I will not speak of the persons situation on this thread , thats their decisions...
have a great Christmas everyone...spend time with family and friends..thats whats importanat..IMO
