I believe the ongoing lack of a majority independent Board remains of material concern, particularly the ongoing presence of the chairman: His acts and omissions are glaring and his remuneration appears entirely without merit. For example: 1. The CPV corporate governance statement remains somewhat embarrassing and I don't anticipate any material changes this year; and 2. I don't understand how Mr Deil could have reasonable been expected to operate as an effective CEO when multiple senior management 'subordinates' were also executive directors: The org chart must have looked like a daisy chain and not in accordance with models of good governance.
Positives would include: (a) recent non-exec Board appointments - although I understand Ms Smits is unlikely to be independent given her shareholding interest (b) Product potential (c) shareholder optimism - appears very resilient on this website (d) I am due for a bit of good luck.
