LAF is certainly in a tough position right now but converting debt to equity makes sense. Remember this is a producing company with substantial polymetallic reserves and ongoing exploration success. As a person with a background in geology I find LAF's ground very attractive. To my mind, the current proposal should sort out the financial mess and give the company a high probability for profitability.

For a company supposedly in such dire straits, over $2M changed hands today. My expectation is that high trading volumes will continue for some time yet.
