I believe it is the exact opposite of the first part of your statement that would make the second part true, of which, too, I fully agree.

One of the hardest things a person can do, is to change their behaviour. Yes, we humans will eventually adapt, but very few of us will truly change our behaviour.
It is how every living organism in this world is programmed; and, why we still survive.
Everything is resistant to change, some more than others, that is the physical laws of the universe. Those whom refuse to change, or if the change happens too quick, will become extinct.
But, yes, the seeds for the next bull run are being sown.
