Possibly, with all the dramas re: Quindell (reasonable or unreasonable) they may have chosen to provide the information via its website which The Australian personnel became aware (or made aware). Something may be announced via ASX prior to Monday trading.

Personally I, too, would have preferred such decisions be made public via main channels stakeholders tend to monitor more frequently. Possibly indicates a bit of hesitancy as to how SP may be impacted even further. But positive takeaway from the article:
