snep, you are 100% right about being dumb. there was recent discussion here about UBS being appointed as takeover defence advisers. my view of that at the time was that it was normal business practice to have that in place. in hindsight it is obvious there was much, much more to it and I should have read more into it. dumb. a lesson learned.
