A takeover would certainly set the cat amongst the pigeons, but I think BPT will realise much higher valuation in the longer term independently.
BPT is really an amazing concentration of five star assets at the moment, with the champion conventional oil and gas, the Tanzanian blue sky and incredible potential in Cooper shale.
Hopefully, patience will be the watchword and we will see how this business is valued in 6 months time when all the plays have had substantial updates.
