speaking of articles in the afr, did anyone see the Bloomberg article in the afr on the 9th july that reported that due to insufficient coal supplies, 58 power generating units in central and northern china were forced to close......that's 2.5% of China's coal fired power plants. Local governments were forced to limit electricity consumption and issue warnings of possible blackouts.
From memory, China is the largest producer of coal in the world and since they can't meet demand , what does that tell you about their ongoing growth and the demand for coal into the many years ahead.....?
Mantle's CBM production in the short term then it's coal sales long term represent a solid basis from which Mantle can build its shareholder value for many years ahead. All stocks experience short term drops and Mantle, in this current market , is no different. For a mid term investment plan, I like the look of Mantle's ability to rebound strongly when the current short term dip becomes just a historical dip in a strongly appreciating growth in Mantle's MC.
