Someone who is elderly with reduced mental capacity, with little, if any, social support, can be easily financially ripped off .
I have a male relative who has taken steps to ensure his spouse, who has reduced mental capacity, does not fall for any of these financial traps. But I don't believe his actions are fool proof.
