I think you are confusing shorters with people selling stock because they are world about regulatory uncertainty and a lack of sound information from management
If management can't give us a sound revenue forecast and p and l forecast... Then i don't see how analyst can be blamed for getting it wrong.
This company should cancel the dividend payment and pay down debt asap.
Then revenue hits dont matter as they can reduce costs and start growing again.
