PP, I don't work in a trading house, but I do work in the health system.
I can tell you now, people will keep having MRI scans whether they are bulk billed or not, or if prices rise.
With health, there is no option but to to investigate.
People may be not willing to pay an extra $2 for a coffee, but they sure will pay an extra $200 for a scan to see if they have brain cancer. Doctors have always, and always will, push for a diagnosis and will continue to use the local diagnositic facilities irrespective of any changes to government funding. In my view any changes will have almost no impact at all on consumer behaviour in this domain.
