SF hasn't answered yet so I'll respond to your question about bars - a bar is a unit of measure on a chart - started with "bar charts" when, for example, each bar represented one day on a daily chart. On a weekly chart a bar represents one week. On a monthly it's a month etc. Same applies for candlestick charts - a bar is a candle.
