Neilst, I am neither a hard up day trader or someone who needs to do more research, believe me on that.
I have held Gunson so long that I can no longer remember without checking, but probably more than eight years and possibly as long as ten years. Time just gets away from me these days.
Gunson skirted the GFC by being slow and for that I am thankful. They have worked methodically over the years to bring this project to where it is today and if they think they can go it alone and deliver a handsome return to shareholders then I will support them.
My concern is that an opportunistic bidder could come along and people will bail out not recognising the full potential of this resource.
Gunson have HSBC at 2.3% holding but have very little in the way of Commercial Funds holding any position. Only Ospraie had sufficient foresight and they bailed at the GFC and no one came and took there place.
For whatever reason John Tilbrook sees a lot of potential in Gunson and I am sure there is a story there. He is a substantial shareholder where the Macquaries and HSBC's won't tread. Just the ramblings of an old fool but your comments did at least make me go and see who was in the Top 20 shareholders.
