John Genner, Managing Director of BQT Solutions Limited (ASX Code: BQT) is pleased to announce that BQT have been successful in winning the contract to supply two prisons in Victoria with a Highly Secure Mifare, Smart Card & Biometric Solution. The scope of this project will be conducted over a number of stages. The first stage will commence immediately with BQT to provide ‘customised’ Mifare smart card readers. The second and third stages will involve installing the BT910 Biometric Fingerprint Readers as an upgrade for secure areas for all prison personnel. The final and most extensive stage of this project will see BQT delivering the LG IrisAccess system for prisoner verification as well as a visitor management solution. In conjunction with our valued partner in Australia, we will be delivering a secure solution that will meet the needs of both present and future requirements for the prisons. This deal will enable BQT to further our position in the Corrective Services area (we are currently working on further four prison projects), and we have once again demonstrated our ability to customise and deliver a solution of the highest security standard, for an industry that requires only the best.
