Must agree tokyo and it will be very interesting to see an actual scientific report on the incident at Fukushima rather than over stated press releases. If you divide by two these releases which is probably an understatement then IMO this forty year old plant has stood up to what must be close to the biggest quake ever recorded reasonably well. This may just be the proving of nuclear technology not its demise.
Being 40yrs old this reactor was built with what is known as 1st generation technology(1950s-1960s).We have now progressed to the 3rd generation with 4th generation due in 10-15yrs.The biggest problem Fukushima had was loss of cooling water because of loss of power from the grid and failure of back up supplies.Newer plants are cooled via a thermosyphon(convection) system which requires nothing but the forces of basic physics to keep it going plus many more efficiency and safety improvements.
IMO this knee jerk reaction by the market has only provided a buying opportunity in uranium stocks that won't be seen again.

    Regards Bruce.
