I finally got through to Jonathon and he seemed a quite genuine person (although he's paid to be!). He understands our frustrations (he is too) and ensured me that he is looking into all possible funding pathways. He believes the Chinese are very serious about this, but this progress is a slow one and will take months. He hopes funding will be done before the end of year. Sorry I haven't got more to add!
