I should add, people scoff at gap theory, saying that it's just a stupid self-fulfilling prophecy and I agree. But the thing about self-fulfilling prophecies is that they're fulfilled, the fact it's a stupid reason doesn't change the fact that it happens. Gaps without breakaway levels of volume do noticeably increase the chance of a SP retracing and it's foolish not to adjust for that. You can never guarantee anything but you have to do whatever you can to put the probabilities in your favour.
