What I want to point out is CGT discount should not be the primary consideration in buying/selling a stock...
Also, you have suggested the other guy to hold for another 6 months as YOU believe it will be a capital gain in 6 months time. However, if it turns out it's not the case, I think he can actually pursue legal action on you. (as you are actually providing financial advice)
