Several exploration companies have been forced to leave regions within andclose to the the Hirvaskallio reservation because of National Parks Torronsuoand Liesjärvi. The locals have organized resistance called the Guardians ofTorronsuo. Theregional nature conservation association (Lounais-Häme nature conservationassociation) has been working for years and is still working to protectvaluable protected areas with a buffer zone from harmful human activities.
