Thanks sergeant. Like you, Anna, I thought the 26's were looking good, could've and perhaps should've, lightened up at least, but didn't...fear and greed! Then got my annual report yesterday and noticed that Macquarie were on the register. Missed that, but along with all the other heavyweights, Hunter Hall, Bendigo, Scanlon etc. I got the warm and fuzzies again. They know things we don't. Baker alludes to the difficulties in China - read Fintronics, I guess - and the disappointing speed of roll-out, then states that there are signs of a strong improvement in number of ATMs deployed in the near term, while at the same time stating that the real benefits are medium term. As you say, sergeant, it's shame he can't be more straighforward with his shareholders, but I guess he has his reasons.
My feeling now is that last year was a watershed for Customers and that, at long last, the benefits will start to flow. Certainly the difficulties of doing business in China are well known, but when everything is in place serious benefits start to flow. Of one thing I am certain - barring a major market shock, there exists strong support at current levels, so you might pick them up a couple of cents cheaper, then again you might not. After all, they have significant revenues now and the ducks are lined up for that to increase dramtically next year and the years to come. You wait - the Speculator will pick up on them again and she'll be off like the proverbial! This has all the fundamentals in place to suddenly turn and become a market darling.
Like Dion, I'm in for the ride now, may even pick up a few more. For me, it was just as case of liking the story and getting in too early. The number of times I do that is ridiculous. Then again, the number of times I like a story, wait, and miss out is also ridiculous.
Good luck, anyway, Sergeant, and keep posting. Enjoy your commentary.
