    I've heard of many horror stories where contractors have used Chinese and even Indian sourced rail. Before the BHP/Onesteel demerger, I heard of Iron Ore trains out of Whyalla in the dirt as the rail condition was appalling. This was soon sorted with all the lost export revenue, and also a major rail upgrades in 2012.

    Unfortunately the Chinese steel industry has done what the Japanese automotive industry did to car manufacturing in this country.
