I must say I had you pegged for an older and more experienced investor - that's a credit to you for being a balanced investor. Next time you are at one of these anti-coal discussions you can make yourself very unpopular by pointing out that 19% of our exports are coal and that they generate $47 billion and that we consume 114 million tons ourselves and that replacement of that would pretty well bankrupt the nation. It will destroy any balancing of the budget and in fact put at risk many of the social welfare programs.

Good balanced article. In terms of coking coal they are talking about using hydrogen in the blast furnaces also natural gas can work. In US Natural Gas is very cheap now under $2.00 m BTU's and not likely to recover as the market is very over supplied. so the logic would be to convert blast furnaces. US will also export a lot of this gas via LPG (just will take them time to get the export facilities up and running). This will keep the pressure on world LPG prices. Will look to buy more NHC when it is around $1.60.
