I'm pretty sure that neither Bengalla nor New Acland are close to any of the fires currently so no direct affect although that can change very quickly. How badly they're impacted by the fires ultimately will be as a consequence of the fighting that occurs when the smoke blows away. I shudder to think how the press would react should approval be given to the next stage of the New Acland mine any time soon. Large scale bushfires do not mix well with coal mining permits.
