aaahhh but its not the first coal mine fire. its always been a high risk from the first coal mines and never massed safe.
the salient point though is that open cut mines release much more methane. this is why I for one am anxious for a moratorium on new coal mining and exploration.
yes I get the trade issue of course, but this is really a higher priority.
