from what ive been told no one was hurt all employees were told to bugger off 3 km from the pit you are correct it shouldnt effect operations to much (only two off the three diggers are working right now due to mechanical issues)the only thing is work safe sa have closed most of the pit until they have finished investigating and if they do the same as when i was a first year apprentice deisel mechanic when a tradesman lost a finger in a drill press works safe sa closed the workshop for 10 days and the other thing is thiess are looking for a new shotfirer (check their website)due to a large amount off unexploded shot left over which thiess oh&s is crapping themselves about due to having to drill in a ark around the unexploded shot and reblast the area again which work safe sa are now also having a look at
