    Fire Insurance levy.
    My Council (Kingston) in their latest newsletter are advising that the new Fire Insurance Levy for a property with a Capital Improved Value of $504K will be $135...my house has a Capital Improved Value of $590K and insured House and Contents...the Fire levy on my last renewal was $77.00 incl GST.....half what the new levy will be..
    With more people forced to pay the fire levy it should be cheaper not dearer....so would I be right in assuming this is a sneaky way of topping up the Govn. budget shortfalls?
