    Not true. If there is a build up of fuel it's because nobody could be bothered burning it.
    And posters here keep mentioning local councils.
    Local councils are not in charge of reducing fire hazards.
    Local bush fire brigades are.
    Councils don't issue permits to burn, the local fire warden does.
    Unless the burn-off is on council land then council has nothing to do with it.
