Well for a start it should show some leadership & do more to cut it's own emissions rather than giving China & India an excuse not to cut theirs.
Next it should stop subsidising thermal coal mines like the Carmichael mine that disincentivises India & China from installing renewable alternatives.
Next it could encourage Australian companies to invest in renewable power generation in India & China creating jobs. Australia could have been a world leader in renewables but failed to take it's opportunity.
