We might not have Ash or Beech like Europe, but thank you God for creating SheOak (Casuarina).
Various hardwoods are of course great for long burning - Ironbark, Yellow Box.
But if you're fortunate enough to have a colony of quick to regenerate Sheoaks, you've got an endless supply of bright burning firewood.
