The family used to have 280 odd acres 30 odd minutes away from where we lived with quite a bit of mature white gum.
My birthday is late July and we would go out to check for mushrooms about now so if the pickings were low we would trim up some of the trees for the next year’s pile and drag out some of the bigger pieces in an appropriate place.
This lifted the canopy of the dirt and made it easier for rounding up the sheep because there’s always a couple of goat like bugger’s in a mob
I feel a little envious but I appreciate that you are a kindred spirit,
Did you crack open a beverage and stare at it after you lit a corner/armed the whole thing up with a few litres of diesel?
