FTSE is up today.
I'm long BHP which makes it go down in London :(
I'm short RIO which makes it go up in London :(

Seriously, this has been the worst start of the financial year after such a terrific one last year.

I think I need to go back to basics.
I also think I'm overanalysing a lot of trades at the moment.

And probably watching things too hard and getting really really spooked far too easily.


I've gone with the flow for the time being and are long.
I paid the price of inexperience when I closed all my shorts close to the top today, thinking I would get absolutely caned later in the day.

Ah well - live and learn right?

Just need to put off the aston martin another year...
