    And this is only set to continue well into the future as firms look to cleaner fuels to offset their carbon emissions given the subsequent financial requirement they will be bound to.

    Amazing how it takes money and taxes just to encourage firms to look towards better environmental energy solutions, decades overdue IMHO. I'd better not get started on energy options, technology and alternatives ....

    Rob thanks for the profit notices in the other thread. I guess BG are that little safer given they aren't reliant on the oil price like Shell, Conoco, BP et al. That is where most of these companies have become unstuck.

    On another note - Interestingly which most people are unaware of British Petroleum (BP) has its roots in a tiny little central QLD town by the name of Mt Morgan (not far from Rockhampton). The company was founded from funds attained during the goldrush in the Mt, from which the founders then utilised to pursue oil opportunities in the middle east - which I believe led to the massive field discoverie in the region. Theres some history...
