According to the content of this article, the reason for machinery leaving mine site is NOT related to the supposed letter to the dept. There would HAVE to be a direction from the Govt to alter any mining activity on site. No such direction or even hint has been received by VMS.
A long way to go yet before any legal stopping of this operation IMO, (or temporary halt).
