    FIRST DIAMOND HOLE INTERSECTS
    SULPHIDE WHERE EXPECTED AT NOVA
    First full suite assays received
Sirius Resources NL (ASX:SIR) (“Sirius” or “the Company”) advises that
the first diamond hole drilled into the Nova deposit has intersected a 6
metre zone of stringer to massive sulphide mineralisation where
expected. Full suite laboratory assays received from the first two holes
also indicate that the mineralisation contains a significant amount of
cobalt and has very low levels of deleterious elements. Platinum group
metals (PGM’s) are present in modest amounts.
    First diamond drill hole
The first diamond core hole drilled at the Nova nickel discovery,
SFRD0035, intersected a 6 metre thick zone of stringer to massive
sulphides where expected. This is an infill hole approximately 30 metres
down dip from previous RC hole SFRC0026 and 20 metres up dip from
SFRC0033 and confirms the continuity of mineralisation in this area (see
    Figure 1).
The mineralisation comprises pyrrhotite, pentlandite and chalcopyrite
within a host rock that is a pyroxene-garnet gneiss. The sulphides are
structurally controlled and form a breccia zone within the gneiss (see
Figure 2). This is a new style of nickel deposit in Australia.
An infill reverse circulation (RC) drill hole, SFRC0034, drilled between
previous drill holes SFRC0024 and SFRC0027, intersected a 4 metre thick
zone comprising massive, matrix and stringer sulphides where expected,
further confirming continuity of the mineralisation.
A second diamond drill rig arrives on site today and drilling will continue
systematically down dip and down plunge from previous intersections
    over the coming weeks.
