The adverse litigation has only just been completed. The cabinet has met and the Thai media has only recently reported there were incentives to two mines one of which was Chatree. There was an agreement that there was to be no tax for 8 years nor tax on imports, the refining of gold was to be done locally. Marketing agreements appeared to be entered into. It is one thing coming to an agreement and it is quite another to have to wait until the Thais have implemented their side of the deal before one can agree to it. It is all very well to stand back and criticise those who are charged with doing the hard yards. The only thing IMHO the Thais would take notice of would be TAFTA arbitral panel which the company has been communicating with on a daily basis.. Mike Diemar's rules:-
