First Graphite announces a long-term supply agreement for high-grade Sri Lankan ganggraphite with a third party.
The most important points:
- Supply security improves the ability of the company to boost the production of graphs as a result of rising market demand.
- A second supply of 40 tonnes represents part of the long-term delivery agreements. This second delivery is in the port of Colombo and is free to load.
- The ganggraphite supply was below the market price.
- The raw material of third parties will increase production from FGR's own mines.
Graphite raw material for graph production
FGR is pleased to announce that the company has entered into an agreement granting a graphite supply of up to 1,000 tonnes per year over a two-year period. This raw material will boost production from FGR's mining operations.
After demonstrating the ability to produce high-quality graphs in larger quantities at low cost, the company is aware of the need to improve the secure supply of ganggraphite used as a raw material.
For trials in graph-enhanced products, a number of potential customer graph samples are currently provided. The company must ensure that it can fulfill any task that could come from these tests. Consequently, the importance of the delivery agreement.
Increasing importance of FGR technologies
As industry becomes more and more aware of First Graphite's unique position for delivering high-quality graphs at competitive prices, we are approached by a growing number of parties looking for a reliable supply of graphs for application development. Some of these parties have rights to technological advances and intellectual property, and they are ready to offer First Graphite a partnership in the commercialization of these.
The directors expect the opportunities in this area to become increasingly important for the future development of the company and provide growth potential far beyond what could be achieved as a provider of ganggraphite alone. It is therefore important that the company positions itself more than just a raw material supplier. First Graphite will report on the progress of this business development following the conclusion of the agreements.
Managing Director, Craig McGuckin, said, "We are delighted to be able to secure this commitment to our supply chain. Together with our own raw materials from our Pandeniya and Aluketiya projects, we will ensure a secure supply chain for our growing interest in our supply chain Graph production strategy."
About First Graphite Ltd. (ASX: FGR)
First Graphite aims to develop an underground mine for the removal of high-grade crystalline ganggraphite, which is unique in Sri Lanka. As the company owns the exclusive rights to exploration licenses covering approximately 39,500 hectares of land with historical digging traces within the entire licensing grid.
About graphs
Graphs, the sufficiently publicized and now famous two-dimensional carbon allotrope is as a material as diverse as any other material discovered on Earth. Its amazing properties as the lightest and most powerful material versus its ability to conduct heat and electricity better than any other material means that it can be integrated into a huge number of applications.
Initially, this means that graphene is used to improve the performance and efficiency of current materials and substances, but in the future it will also be developed in conjunction with other two-dimensional crystals to create some even more amazing compounds, resulting in an even broader application spectrum Be adjusted.
A research area, which is very intensively studied, is the energy storage. At present, scientists are working to improve the storage capacities of lithium-ion batteries (by inserting graphs as an anode) to offer much larger storage capacities with much longer life and charging times. The graph is also studied and developed to find application in the manufacture of supercapacitors that can be charged very quickly and can also store a large amount of current.
Texture of the ganggraphite
The graphite deposition model for Sri Lanka is best described from the bottom up: In the metamorphic sediments, stretching cracks were formed by the folding of the sediments. This resulted in the formation of channels for the hydrothermal deposition of high-quality gang graft. As a result of the dismantling in the past, it is known that the thickness and the degree of quality of these passages increases with the depth. The graphite passages generally fall steeply at -70 degrees to almost perpendicular. This allows the degradation in the gangway construction process, similar to the process used in the degradation of high-grade gold deposits. The generally used process is firted construction, whereby the high-grade ganggraphite is degraded and transported to the surface without contamination. The graphite band, the contact to the adjacent deaf rock, is transported to the surface and poured into the stockpile for enrichment. The remaining overburden is used to fill the strut.
Due to the nature of the ganggraphite, gauges of approx. 25 cm are expected, which can be economically promoted by underground mining.

That day when the market stops being irrational is coming. Does anyone predict good news is coming?

I think the rest of the world gets it...
Graphene is the fastest Material take up in history. From patent to the customer GRAPHENE is here to revolutionize everything and make the future incredible.
GRAPHENE will change everything.
FGR is heading for that great day and on that day it will be just the beginning in my opinion...
Kind Regards
DYOR!!!!
