I hope prices drop.

There is far too much speculation in the market.

I know plenty of people who have bought using interest only loans... because prices always go up right?!

I'm a GenYer on above average income in a secure job, but wouldn't consider buying until I can get a reasonable starter home (3 bed, 1 bathroom) within 1 hours travel to the city for less than $300k.

Otherwise I can just rent bayside for $350p/w.

It annoys me that people in this country think everyone should be mortgage slaves. Australians need to realise that property is not just a giant captial gains powered ATM.
