Hi All,
For those of you who don't already know, Aflease announced yesterday that they had hoisted their first ore from the re-commissioned Sub-Nigel Mine. The ore is being stockpiled at the Modder East plant that is scheduled to start production in May 09. This bodes very well for BMO shareholders once BMO returns to the market as Gold One(GDO). A decent stockpile of Ore ready for processing means that Gold One will have a cash flow upon sale of any Gold produced from the stockpiled ore in the lead up to Modder East beginning production in the first quarter of 09. The Aflease share price has increased from a close of 109Rand(Aus$16.64, volume of 369,000) on 23 Jan 09 to close yesterday at 150Rand(Aus$22.91, volume 82,896,590). Not a bad increase in volume and price considering it is just ore to be stockpiled.

AFLEASE GOLD HOISTS FIRST ORE AT RECOMMISSIONED SUB-NIGEL
Johannesburg, 28 January 2009 - Aflease Gold (JSE code AFO) today announced
that it hoisted the first ore as scheduled from its recommissioned Sub-Nigel
mine on the Witwatersrand on 27 January.
The ore will be stockpiled at the company`s nearby Modder East operation for
processing from May when the Modder East plant goes into production. The new
mine Aflease Gold is developing at Modder East is on track for first production
in the last quarter of this year.
Aflease Gold chief executive Neal Froneman said the successful recommissioning
of Sub-Nigel would enable the company to build up ore stocks, run in the new
plant and train workers in preparation for the start of operations at its
flagship Modder East operation. "The focus of the Sub-Nigel team is now on
safely achieving the planned production profile and establishing an underground
training centre," he said.
