sabretoothed -do you know what your talking about ? if silver is a useless metal - how come it is the best electrical conductor known to mankind (the market for electrical uses for silver is growing at over10% a year)-how come the world uses nearly a BILLION ounces of it a year have a look arround you your keyboard has silver behind each key -your computer has silver in it - so does your printer, monitor,fax,phone ,fridge,microwave,washing machine ,tv and nearly every electrical device in your house,nearly every electrical contact in the world uses silver-super conductivity requires massive amounts of silver -every modern car in the world has over 1 ounce of silver in over 50 different applications,solar panels are useless without silver, x/rays cannot be done without silver- when you go to the movies why do you think they call it the silver screen- movies are made from silver,nearly all solder in the world is now silver solder as lead solder has been banned because of its cancer causing properties,most jewellry is made from silver( the reason why -is that it along with gold and platinum they are nearly the only metals that us humans can have touching our skin for long periods of time without causing such side affects like death),silver kills bacteria and bacteria cannot build a immunity to it- silver is a god send to burn victims,silver is put in bandaids,soxs jocks, singlets airconditioners and fridges because it kills bacteria .Areoplanes use silver bearings in thier engines because if there is a oil blockage the silver bearing will keep on working - the list goes on and on.Almost every day new uses for silver are discovered and patented .For most silver usages there is little or no replacement especially its electrical uses.Our modern life would be imposible without silver. So if silver is useless and unwanted -Prove it
