well it can only be a good thing to have them off our backs.
also the number short in any one day seems to have dropped off a bit too. gone from about 30% to 21% (or 650,845/3,156,654)
But who can blame them, If I were short I wouldn't want to be gambling on a drastic change in fundamentals due to weight lose drugs in just 3 months.
Mind you not having shorters on your back doesn't seem to lead to big change in price. Was looking at MFG the other day and it has dropped out of top 100 most shorted stocks and has less than 1% short now, but the stock hasn't really gone up at all having gone from $73 to about $8.80, today.
So maybe all shorters do is just get you from "a" to "b" or fair value a lot faster than you would otherwise want to go.
