do you think that smaller scale option is still live if required?
just because they have now come out and put some meat on the bones of a larger plant which has better overall parameters (you wouldn't do a theoretically worse project), surely the smaller option is there if required. With close consultation with potential offtake companies and Friedland/Riggal no doubt having ongoing dialogue with potential sources of finance, you don't think they are making these go forward decisions with eye wide open?
So either way I skin it, seems like they move forward with the larger plant all the while the smaller Sc focused plant could be a fall back, they both could be viable paths to a FID
I drew confidence from the Aus Super investment, I'm sure they looked under the bonnet and had a quick chat to the team in order to justify putting in $13M@38c
